Parker Days Parade Entry
Application Deadline is June 4th, 2010 at 5:00pm
The parade is Saturday, June 12, 2010 and starts at 10:00am. Staging begins at 8:00am.
In keeping with the event returning to the Parker Days name, the theme of this years parade is: Colorado Heritage
Awards will be given based on this theme in at least the following catagories:
- Judges Favorite
- Best Interpretation of Theme
Please Note: Because of construction activities near Town Hall, the parade route has changed. Staging will take place at the RTD lot on Longs Way and along S. Park Glenn Way. From staging, the parade will proceed south on Longs Way to Victorian Drive and head east on Victorian to Main Street, turning right and heading west along Main Street to the west end of Victorian. The parade will then proceed north on Victorian, back to Longs Way returning to the RTD lot.
Participation Fees:
Participation fees are in addition to the $10 non-refundable application fee. Based on prior years experience, all applicants are normally allowed to particpate, so we will be requesting that you pay your particpation fee at this time. In the unlikely event an applicant is denied participation, the participation fee will be refunded. If your group is unable to pay any fee required by credit card, please contact the event coordinator via email at events@parkerdays.org and you will be sent instructions on how to complete your online application and pay by check.

For groups that have any combination of marchers or vehicles that includes a float, please use the float pricing.
Insurance Information:
All entrants with Wheels or Hooves are strongly encouraged to check and make sure that they have general liability insurance appropriate for participation in a parade. At this point, the Parker Chamber of Commerce does not require proof of general liability insurance, however, that could change and parade entrants will be notified of any requirements in that event.
Additional Information
- All parade entries are subject to approval by the Parade Committee and the Parker Chamber of Commerce.
- The Parade will be limited to the first 100 entries. Entries are available on a first come, first served basis.
- All entries will be selected on their entertainment value, uniqueness, size and appearance.
- Entries such as "everyday" type of vehicles will not be considered.
- Types of entries considered for the parade include (but are not limited to):
- Marching Band Units
- Floats
- Drill and Dance Teams
- Clowns
- Antique/Speciality Vehicles
- Equestrian Teams
- Horse Drawn Carriages
- Invited Guests
- Dignitaries
- Celebrities
- Vehicle entries permitted in the parade will be limited to no more than 10 vehicles in the entry (car clubs included).
- Because of space limitations, political entries may not have more than 25 marchers
- Due to space limitations and guidelines, all entries submitted may not be accepted. The parade organizers reserve the right to reject any entry at any time for any reason and all decisions are final.
- All applications will recieve a letter of acceptance or rejection by email. For applications that are accepted, the email will contain additional information on how to pay your participation fees (if any).
- The general rules and guidelines listed are for the safety and quality of the parade. Failure to abide by these rules and guidelines and those presented with the parade information package, may result in the unit's removal from the parade and jeapordize future participation.
- No throwing of any items including candy to the spectators along the parade route.
- No spraying of water or other liquids from units.
WAIVER, TERMS & CONDITIONS
By typing my name below, I electronically agree to the terms and conditions specified in this document. In consideration and acceptance of the right to participate in the Parker Days Parade, by execution of this form, I as the authorized representative and on behalf of my organization and any related participants, hereby release and discharge the following: The Parker Days Parade Committee, The Parker Chamber of Commerce, the Town of Parker and any other property owner. This includes the officers, employees, representatives, management of presentation of PARKER DAYS PARADE of any and all known and unknown damages, injuries, losses, judgments, and/or claims from any course whatsoever that may be suffered by any entrant, member or participant of the entrant’s organization agrees to indemnify and hold harmless all of the above in addition to any others involved in this event. In addition, you, your organization, and all parade participants, release all of the above plus other volunteers from any and all liability resulting from the actions or conduct of entrants, entrants’ guests, entrants’ entry or unit, whether it be motor powered, animal or animal drawn or otherwise, or any participant assisting or cooperating with external, where under the direction or control of entrant, or not under said control or direction.
ENTRY AND ADVERTISING RELEASE
In consideration of acceptance of this entry, entrant agrees to permit the PARKER DAYS PARADE to use their name and/or photograph, films, tapes of the units for publicity, advertising and promotion, before, during and after the event and does hereby relinquish any right whatsoever to any photographs, films or tapes taken in cooperation with the end, and gives permission to publish or sell or otherwise dispose of said photographs, films or tapes. All publicity and advertising rights are hereby given to and reserved by the Parker Chamber of Commerce.
