Marketplace Vendor
Please note: You are paying your application fee and participation fee on this form
Dear Marketplace Applicant:
Thank you for your interest in the 2010 Parker Days!
Downtown Parker is the ideal location for this wonderful event. Marketplace vendors will benefit from the crowds in excess of 100,000 people coming to enjoy food, entertainment and family fun. As the number of vendors interested in participating in the event grows each year, changes have been made to accommodate the growth and improve the event experience for vendors as well as the public. Please review this information carefully as it outlines the guidelines, rules and procedures that will ensure a smooth application process.
Application Deadline: N/A
Each year we receive many more applications than we have space to accept, so please make sure to pay special attention to the application check list. Incomplete applications will delay processing and may result in exclusion.
All applications are considered on a variety of criteria and while these criteria are considered, they do not by any means guarantee or preclude an applicant's participation nor what product(s) vendors may present for sale:
- Date of receipt of COMPLETE application materials
- Chamber membership status
- Uniqueness of items being sold
- Past performance of vendors applying to return, including adherence to Parker Days rules and guidelines
- Vendors whose presentation is in accordance with the events family atmosphere
A complete application includes:
- Completed and electronically signed application request acknowledging that applicant has read, understands and will adhere to all the guidelines, rules and procedures.
- Electronically signed waiver (included on this page).
- Application payment submitted in full
- Photographs are imperative for committee review and may be traditional photos or digital photos in jpeg format. You will be limited to sell only the merchandise the committee has approved. This will allow everyone the opportunity to sell their main product and not have similar vendors competing with one another. A diverse group of crafters and vendors will be selected to ensure there is minimal overlap in the products sold and the public will have a wide variety from which to choose.
- Any other documentation you wish to provide with your application.
BOOTH SPECIFICS
- Booth space is 10' x 10'. No racks or displays (including those with hanging merchandise) are allowed outside of the specified and contracted space. All displays (including freestanding) must be contained within the 10' x 10' assigned space. If your display requires space outside of a 10' x 10' space, you MUST contract for and purchase additional spaces.
- Participants must provide all booth apparatus or shade materials, including, but not limited to:
- tent/canopy, tables, chairs
- ALL means to protect your display, merchandise and staff in case of inclement weather
- any other items for your display
- means of transportation of goods to your booth space (i.e. handcart)
Corner Booths
There may be a very limited number of corner booth spaces available. Corner booths are optional and require a $125 additional premium fee. Corner booth requests are filled on a first-come, first-served basis. If you would like to be considered for a corner booth, be sure to select the check box at the bottom of this form.
Location
- Regardless of whether the Marketplace is located on asphalt or earth, NO STAKING will be allowed. You must provide other means of securing your tent/canopy and/or your merchandise, such as weights, water jugs, sandbags, etc. Non-potable water will be available in a limited number of locations on site for the purpose of filling water jugs.
- Electricity will be available in a limited area. If you require electricity you must indicate it on this application. If you are accepted, you will be able to indicate your desired level of service when you make your booth payment.

MANDATORY EVENT HOURS
The hours of operation for the Marketplace Vendors are as follows:
ALL Marketplace vendors MUST BE OPEN FOR BUSINESS during the above hours. The Marketplace will close at the indicated closing time, however vendors may remain open later if they so desire. It is the responsibility of the vendor to ensure that its booth is adequately staffed during the mandatory hours of the event. Failure to comply may result in application denial for future years. Please consider having at least two people per booth so one person will always be present when food breaks, rest room breaks, etc. are needed.
SET-UP AND BREAKDOWN TIMES
Marketplace vendors may set up according to their approved load-in time. Breakdown is AFTER 7:00pm on Sunday, June 13. Failure to adhere to breakdown times may result in application denial for future years. There is a chance that you will not be able to drive to your booth, you are responsible for transporting your merchandise to and from your booth space and therefore must bring your own carts, hand trucks, loading equipment and personnel to assist with set-up and breakdown.
CHECKOUT/SALES TAXES
- Because of issues in the past, Marketplace Vendors are required to check-out with the Parker Days Marketplace Info Booth prior to leaving on Sunday night.
- Vendors are responsible for obtaining the appropriate sales tax licenses with the State of Colorado. For information on obtaining the correct type of Colorado Sales Tax License, click here.
- Vendors do not need to apply for a sales tax license with the Town of Parker. The Chamber of Commerce collects the 3% sales tax on behalf of the Town of Parker ONLY. You MUST remit the sales taxes for your sales prior to loading out. Failure to comply with this requirement will result in immediate forfeiture of your deposit and denial of application for future Parker Chamber of Commerce events AS WELL AS denial of future participation by the Town of Parker. Payment by credit card is preferred, checks should be made payable to the Parker Chamber of Commerce and will delay your deposit refund until your check clears.
- Vendors are responsible for submitting sales taxes due to the State of Colorado and other local taxing authorities. The combined State/Other Local Authority sales tax rate is 5.1%
MERCHANDISE SALES
You are encouraged to sell, provide samples, take orders and otherwise promote your products and services. However, please note the following regulations:
- The Parker Days management team commissions the sale of ALL beverages. Parker Days vendors MAY NOT sell or give away beverages of any kind, including water!
- Parker Days management team reserves the right to approve or disapprove merchandise for sale. For the safety and comfort level of the general public, merchandise that creates smells, smoke or loud noises are strictly prohibited.

- Parker Days organizers retain the SOLE AND EXCLUSIVE right to strike/remove any booth, for any reason.
GENERAL
- Parker Days is a "Rain or Shine" event, and as such, will not be canceled, nor refunds issued, due to inclement weather.
- Parking is first-come, first-served and is very limited around the event area.
- We have contracted for dedicated roaming security for the Marketplace area each night of the event; however, neither Parker Days nor the Parker Chamber of Commerce will be responsible for any theft or damage to your display, merchandise or equipment. You may want to remove valuable items from your booth each evening.
- Tear down time will begin NO EARLIER THAN 7:00pm on Sunday, June 13. No vehicles will be allowed in to the event area prior to that time. Any vehicles found to be in the event area before this time will be ticketed and towed. Anyone tearing down before this time may be declined for participation in future Parker Chamber of Commerce events. As this is a safety issue, there will be absolutely NO exceptions.
- There will be no distribution of literature except from your booth space. Participants must exhibit within their contracted space. No overflow is allowed.
- No amplification is allowed from a booth or table.
- Returning vendors must be in good standing with Parker Days and the Parker Chamber of Commerce. "Good Standing" means the participant has not violated any rules or regulations set out in the contracted agreement, has paid all fees in a timely fashion, has remitted all sales tax on time, and has established a good working relationship with the event, the Parker Chamber of Commerce and fellow Marketplace participants. There are no guarantees that returning participants will be accepted or given the same location as in previous years.
- In order to ensure regulation compliance, the following fine system has been established. All violations will be managed according to the following schedule and fine system. Parker Days management team members will monitor the vendors, taking action if necessary.
- The vendor will receive one warning from the Parker Days representative and will have one hour to remedy the problem.
- If no effort has been made to resolve the issues, or the issue remains unresolved, the vendor will be charged a $250 fine, which must be paid immediately to the Parker Days management team member.
- If payment is not made, the vendor will be asked to leave the 2010 Parker Days event and will not be accepted into the 2011 Parker Days.
This fine system applies to any and all violations as they may be in relation to any guideline listed in this application and/or any legal issue including harassment or issue that in the SOLE AND EXCLUSIVE opinion of the Parker Days management team has a detrimental effect on Parker Days.
- Behavior that is disruptive, disrespectful, aggressive or threatening in nature WILL NOT BE TOLERATED. Any vendor found to demonstrate such behavior will be ejected from Parker Days IMMEDIATELY, without question, without refund, and with law enforcement assistance if necessary.
